Introduction

My Story of Running and Mental Health Illness

A number of years ago I was diagnosed with extreme depression and anxiety.

My wake up call was being sectioned under the mental health act.

Although I was only in the mental health ward for one night, it was defiantly an eye opener and a kick up the ass I really neaded.

In 2019 I was also diagnosed with ADHD and now managed with medication.

Started running in 2016, to do something positive with my life. At the time I was an overweight, borderline alcoholic.

My first race was Coalville 10k, since then I have entered 5k, 10k, Half Marathons and a Full Marathon.
