Fun week although Garmin had been fixed after the cyber attack they had.
Was not till the weekend watch was syncing with the training plan on Training Peaks.
TUESDAY, THURSDAY, SATURDAY
This where the usual base training days all at 50 mins easy paced running.
Saturday included 15s pick ups.
WEDNESDAY – HILLS
A structured session of hill repeats for endurance and strength training.
8 sets of 400m climb and 800m gentle recovery jog back down.
Kept a good speed up the hill; whilst maintaining good running form and posture.
This was a tough session but much needed.
Legs where dead after.
SUNDAY – LONG RUN
Pretty much a standard long run. Completed 13.8 miles in 2 hours.
I also mamaged a Half Marathon PB!!
This was 1:49:59, which is a huge improvement.
With an average heart rate of 159 also getting better at running for longer period at a faster pace.
This is good as my aerobic fitness is improving steadily. Which is also on top of natural speed I already have.
OVERALL DISTANCE FOR THE WEEK WAS 38.7 miles
Did strength training at Clifford’s Gym, Long Eaton.
Basically upper body and core work.
